This classes invites participants into a creative process that fosters a deep connection with oneself, free from pretensions or judgment. It is a space for sensitivity and expressiveness, where all possibilities are welcome. Integration of diverse techniques inspired by Gaga movement language, floorwork, and contact improvisation, alongside dynamic composition games that spark creativity and collaboration. In these sessions, we will explore gravity, body textures, organic movement, opposing forces, groove, coordination, and precise execution of technique. Emphasizing contemporary dance, the class incorporates improvisational warm-ups with a focus on floorwork, alongside creative research tasks and discussions. tasks aim to explore, broaden and challenge the range of physical expression,finding different qualities of the movement and emotional states.Playing compositional games, and opening search dialogues with oneself and others, cultivating a harmonic unity between sensations, physical possibilities, and movement to the coaction between our sensations and physical possibilities, and shape Deployed with the space. BIO

Natia Chikvaidze (Georgia 1991) is a professional contemporary dancer and choreographer currently based in Tbilisi. She graduated at Vakhtang Chabukiani Tbilisi Ballet Art State School / Diplome National Professional Dancer 2008 and Ecole Nationale Rosella Hightower / Diplome National Supérieur Preofessionnel de Danseur (DNSP) France / Cannes in 2011.

After her studies she worked as a professional dancer in Israel with Kamea Dance Company 2012-2016, Ballet Ness-Ziona 2016-2017, Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company 2017-2018. From 2018 currently she is working as an artistic assistant of the creation “Marry Me in Bassiani” with (LA)HORDE Ballet National De Marseille and with the Iveroni traditional Georgian dance Ensemble. From 2022 currently she is working with Inform Platform for inclusive minds as a choreographer, Dancer & choreography transmitter with Sasha Walz and Guests creation “In C Tbilisi “ Founder of Plazm - Independent Platform for experimental music and contemporary dance/physical theater.

In her work she focuses on connecting profound, deep expressive movements with visual arts, physical theater, and music showcases a multidisciplinary approach, creating a rich and multi-layered experience for the audience. By intertwining movement with visual arts, theater, and music, Natia creates a sensory narrative that transcends traditional artistic boundaries, offering a comprehensive and immersive storytelling platform.

As an artist, Natia‘s ambition to explore, expand, and critically evaluate various forms of physical expression using diverse movement techniques and emotional states is indicative of a desire to continuously refine and innovate her artistic language. By critically evaluating the nuances of physical expression, she seeks to deepen her understanding of movement techniques and emotional intricacies, enabling her to convey a wide spectrum of emotions and narratives through her art.

Her dedication to changing public perceptions in Georgia regarding disability, the inclusion of minority groups, and gender non-conforming bodies signifies a commitment to social change through her art. By addressing and advocating for marginalized communities, Natia‘s work serves as a catalyst for reshaping societal attitudes, fostering inclusivity, and advocating for the understanding and acceptance of diverse identities.
